Digging of hot-mixed road flayed

SANGUEM
The President of Curchorem unit of Shiv Yodhya Vinesh Prabhudessai bitterly decried the ongoing digging of the road proceeding to Marutigad from Ravindra Bhavan Curchorem for the laying of cables.

Prabhudessai informed that the road was hot mixed recently and within no time the electricity department has begun digging it for laying cables when in fact the work could well have been undertaken before the hot-mixing.

Prabhudessai also pointed out that some five years back when the government had undertaken the beautification work of the Bandodkar Circle near Ravindra Bhavan, the authorities had made provision of duct cables under the footpath one each for water pipeline and other for electricity.

However, despite there being due provision, one fails to understand the need for digging the road afresh for laying cables, claimed Prabhudessai.

Prabhudessai also complained the digging work was undertaken when the monsoon is round the corner. The spot where the digging work is undertaken is prone to accidents and as such the authorities should repair it before the rains start, he stated.
