The 'Acharya' of Chinmaya Mission, Margao, Swami Nikhilananda Saraswati will deliver discourses in Hindi on Chapter IV ('Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga') of the sacred Bhagavad Gita at the '32nd Annual Gita Gyana Yagna', from January 3 to 8, between 6.30 pm to 8 pm, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
Disclosing this at a press conference at Chinmaya Ashram, Margao, the Acharya said the youth should be aware about our culture. “The Gita Gyana Yagna is an exercise to impart spiritual knowledge which will give a holistic approach to life,” he said.
Terming Bhagavad Gita as the “syllabus of life”, the Acharya claimed the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita is meant for the entire humanity and not just restricted to the Hindu community. “The Indian philosophy is the Bhagavad Gita and we would like this to reach all so that it transforms all of us,” the 'Acharya' added.
Referring to other activities of Chinmaya Mission, the 'Acharya' informed about 80 schools being run by the Mission countrywide which impart “value-based education”. He said some villages have been adopted by the Mission in Himachal Pradesh.
