OLD GOA
The displaced GMC kiosk owners and vendors, who have been protesting over their rehabilitation issue, have completed 50 days on Monday and are likely to call off the protest.
One of the kiosk owners informed The Goan that a decision to this effect will be announced on Tuesday as work on their rehabilitation is currently underway.
“For the moment, the rehabilitation work is underway and we see no point in continuing with the protest,” the kiosk owner stated.
“We are going to announce the decision tomorrow and are going to wind up the protest,” the kiosk owner said, while adding that many of them are feeling exhausted after protesting for such a long period of time.
“Also, the Covid situation is getting worse and we do not want to take unnecessary risks,” the kiosk owner added.
