A fishing competition for the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Members and their families and Altar Servers of St Thomas Church, Aldona, was held on September 13 at Teen Manos, Aldona. The event brought together parishioners in a spirit of fellowship.
Fr Agnel Simoes led the opening prayers and later distributed prizes to all the winners. Parish Priest, Fr Joe Rodrigues, was appreciated for his constant motivation, encouragement and support, which contributed greatly to the success of the event.
Among the Altar Servers, the winners were Warren Braganza (Biggest Catch), Agnelo Gomes (First Catch), Aaron Colaco (Most Number of Catches), Mario Fernandes (Last Catch), Sydelle Lobo (Smallest Catch), and Josyln Colaco (Drop Fish prize).
Among the PPC Members, Perpetua Alvaris emerged as the outstanding winner, securing the first catch, most number of catches and biggest catch prizes. Emy Pereira won the last catch, Concy Fernandes was recognised as the most enthusiastic PPC Member to catch a crab, and Manuel Cruz won the smallest catch.
