MARGAO

A city-based doctor had a miraculous escape after a roof projection of an old building came crashing down on Friday noon just metres behind the Margao Municipal building.

While the doctor escaped with minor shoulder injuries, the shadow council for Margao dashed off a letter to Margao Municipal Chief Officer Sidhivinayak Naik to inform him that the balance portion of the roof structure is precariously hanging on the building.

SCM convener Savio Coutinho has warned the MMC chief officer that the roof structure might come down on members of the public if not attended to immediately.
