The Directorate of Education on Thursday issued a circular regarding reopening of schools from Std 9 to Std 12 (physical classes) from Oct 18, and SOPs and guidelines to be followed thereon.
Heads of institutions and management have been asked to take their own decision taking into consideration available infrastructure and local condition. Schools have also been given the flexibility to initially follow a hybrid mode of teaching - online as well as offline classes and also make their own SOPs based on local circumstances.
Strict implementation of face masks, sanitisers, sanitisation of school premises, social distancing is made compulsory. For students who chose not to attend physical school, recorded class lessons or any other online mode of teaching may be followed, states the circular. Schools have been asked to frame time table in such a manner that the school campus does not get crowded.
Vaccinated teaching and non-teaching staff will be permitted without restrictions however, non-vaccinated staff will have to get Covid-negative RT-PCR test certificate with 7 days validity. High risk students have been asked to consult pediatricians or physicians before joining the school.
