The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) lead by Minister Rohan Khaunte, addressed Chimbel Village Panchayat at a meeting and presented the plan of the proposed Technology Park at Chimbel village and Porvorim.
The department has given an invitation to all citizens to go through the plan and provide any suggestions they have on the same.
The Government is sensitive to both, the preservation of the environment and to create a sustainable ecosystem by bringing a knowledge based economy to the State. With this objective, the Government has envisaged a dynamic yet local-conscious Technology Park at Chimbel and a contemporary Park at Porvorim where the development is all set to meet our State economy, the department said in a press release.
The Technology Park at Chimbel is proposed to be developed in an area of 10-12 acres only and Technology Park at Porvorim is proposed to be developed in an area of 3 acres.
During the presentation to the Panchayat members, the department solicited their suggestions. This presentation can be showcased to the citizen on request.
