Driver arrested for accident
PANAJI: The Panaji police have arrested one Francis D’Cunha, resident of Dhargal and driver of a bus who knocked down a lady at the Kadamba bus stand Panaji, killing her.
According to the police, D’Cunha, 37, was driving a passenger bus entering the KTC bus stand at Panaji on June 18, at 4.40 pm, while he knocked down one Mahananda Naik, 65, causing injuries to her head. She later died of these injuries. The police have booked a case under sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code.
