Drug peddler remanded
VASCO: Vasco Police on Monday remanded the accused, Prakash Singh, who was caught red-handed while allegedly selling ganja worth Rs 1.10 lakh at Dabolim, to four days police custody. Police said the accused was produced before JMFC court at Vasco on Monday and was remanded to four days police custody.
Police said they are yet to interrogate Singh to get to the kingpin, who is involved in supplying drugs to him, who in turn sells it to others.
“He is just a peddler, we want to find the main person who is supplying drugs and for this we have sought a remand of four days,” said the police official.
It may be recalled that Vasco Police acting on a tip-off arrested Singh while he was selling ganja worth Rs 1.10 lakh at Dabolim and recovered 1.4 kgs of ganja from him on Sunday evening.
