Reiterating their opposition to the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) counter for tours at Dudhsagar, jeep operators of the Dudhsagar Tour Operators Association have sought the intervention of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in this matter.
Discussing at a meeting on Friday, the jeep operators claimed that ever since the tourism counter started at Doodsagar, there has been a decrease in the number of tourists visiting the famed Dudhsagar Waterfalls.
A few days ago, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had convened a special meeting of office bearers of Dudhsagar Tour Operators Association.
On Friday, the jeep operators voiced their opposition to start tour operations using the GTDC counter and demanded that it be shut down. The tour operations to Dudhsagar Waterfalls are set to begin from Monday.
