Panaji Police meet cruise operators to discuss safety regulations

In preparation for the upcoming festive season, the SDPO Panaji convened a meeting with cruise operators at the Panaji jetties to discuss safety and security measures.

During the discussions, police officials outlined several key parameters that cruise operators must adhere to. One of the primary directives included obtaining sound permissions and stopping music by 10 pm.

Operators were also reminded to verify crew members and to provide a harassment-free experience for tourists. Police also advised cruise companies to enrol their ticketing personnel with the tourism department for proper training.

Police emphasised the importance of maintaining functional safety equipment on vessels and ensuring accessibility for differently-abled customers.
