A delegation from the Embassy of the Netherlands in New Delhi, along with a business delegation, interacted with the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) on Friday to explore green port collaboration with the Mormugao Port.
The senior Dutch delegation, comprising 16 delegates, was welcomed by MPA Chairperson Dr N Vinodkumar along with MPA Dy Chairperson Vinayaka Rao, HODs and other senior port officials.
Dr Vinodkumar briefed the gathering on various green initiatives undertaken by the Port. The purpose of the visit is to explore potential collaboration opportunities with the Port in the field of green port projects, renewables, hydrogen readiness, and operational aspects such as safety, storage and pilots, etc.
Jan Reint Smit, Innovation Counsellor, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India, and Anneleen de Ruiter (Programme Advisor – Netherlands Enterprise Agency) spoke on the occasion.
The meeting was followed by a tug visit to Mormugao Port. The delegation appreciated the Port infrastructure and the various green initiatives taken up by the Mormugao Port.
