Dy CM hopeful of early implementation of shack policy

 Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Manohar (Babu) Ajgaonkar has expressed hope that issues related to implementation of the State’s new shack policy will be resolved soon and that each and every stakeholder would have a memorable season this year.  

Referring to media reports about applications invited by the tourism department to erect shacks along Goa’s beach stretch, Ajgaonkar said his department is already on the job and would make every effort to make the coming tourism season fruitful to each and every stakeholder. “The tourism department has started the process of inviting applications from interested shack owners. I hope all the hiccups pertaining to the implementation of the new shack policy get resolved at the earliest and I wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous tourism season ahead,” Ajgaonkar said.  

Meanwhile, the minister welcomed all the 212 Russian visitors who landed in Goa in the first charter of the season on Friday. “I welcome you all in this beautiful State of Goa. Wish you all a wonderful time ahead,” was his message to the Russian visitors.
