DyCM undergoes angioplasty in Mumbai

Dy CM, Francis D’Souza has undergone angioplasty in a Mumbai hospital on Saturday. rnHe is said to be doing well after the operation and is expected to be discharged within a couple of days.

Chief Minister, Laxmikant Parsekar confirmed to The Goan that his colleague, deputy chief minister was admitted in a private hospital in Mumbai and the doctors had treated him for heart ailment.  
“The doctors did an angiography and angioplasty on D’Souza. He is doing well and is expected to be discharged within two days,” CM said.  
Earlier, OSD to the deputy chief minister, Anthony D’Souza informed that the deputy chief minister along with his wife had gone to Mumbai for some rest after a hectic election campaign schedule in Goa.  
“On Friday, as he was getting ready to return to Goa, he started feeling a little uneasy,” the OSD said.  
“As a precautionary measure, he went for a routine checkup in a hospital in Mumbai where he was admitted and advised to undergo angiography,” he added.  
The deputy chief minister, who is also the health minister of the State, wasn’t keeping in the best of health for some time.  
At least two months back, he was admitted to a private hospital in Mapsua for having suffered from exhaustion.
