Soon after the ECI communicated the registration of the party, the Goa Forward Party leadership went into a huddle at a city hotel here on Wednesday, with Sardesai making his presence felt at the meet to chalk out the party’s programme ahead of the 2017 election. “We thank the ECI for accepting our application for registration and we hope that the party will get its election symbol by September-end,” Sardesai said.
Sources in the know said the Independent MLA has briefed the party leadership at today’s meeting on the political leaders and workers who are expected to join the party in the run up to the Assembly election. Sources said the Independent MLA also drew attention of the party leadership to public issues highlighted by him in the just concluded Assembly session and the need to take these to the people’s court.
