Speaking to media persons in Panaji, Alemao, who is known for switching parties during election time, said it didn’t matter under which party he was contesting on, it his years of service to people that would get him elected in Benaulim.
“I have changed seven different parties and nine jobs, but maybe the eighth party will be the successful one. But it is not important how many parties I have changed, my work is more important,” he said. In the past, he said, he had managed to get upto 80,000 votes while with the UGDP. Alemao added that neither him nor the party should be underestimated and he has the capacity to win in any constituency.
“People from the areas of Cavelossim, Carmona, Beanulim, Colva and Sernabatim have asked me to come and contest the elections. With their support, I certainly will,” Alemao asserted.
