Embassy officials inspect site of American's death
PERNEM: Pernem Police and officials of the American Embassy on Friday conducted an inspection of the site, where the American tourist, Caitania Holt (30), died after being assaulted multiple times in Pernem on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, Pernem PI Devendra Gad interacted with the American Embassy officials, before the team inspected the field where Holt had died at Tumwada-Korgao.
SP Umesh Goankar was also present during the site inspection.
When contacted, PI Gad said they have appointed a panel of expert doctors to conduct an autopsy, which will take place on Saturday.
“After getting the report, the cause of death will be ascertained,” said Gad.
