Employees of Goa Secretariat served notice for agitating

Employees of Goa Secretariat have been served with a show-cause notice for protesting and raising their voice against the rising COVID cases at their workplace.

In the notice, employees have been asked to justify their action seeking a reply to why action should not be initiated against them.

It may be recalled that a section of Goa government employees protested on August 18 at the foyer of the Secretariat over safety of the staffers due to increasing COVID 19 cases in the secretariate complex.

The workers had alleged state government's failure to put any safety mechanism and precautionary measures in place.

At least a dozen-odd COVID positive cases have been reported from the secretariat.
