ESMA invoked for lifeguarding

PANAJI: The Government has declared the lifeguarding and water safety services on the beaches and the inland water bodies under the aegis of department of Tourism in the State as essential services under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Goa Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA), 1988 (Goa Act 20 of 1989) and prohibits strike in all the above said units and sections providing such services with immediate effect.
