Stating that the disabled children are integral part of the society, Speaker Pramod Sawant said they need care and affection. He was speaking during the installation ceremony of Grey Blend Foundation at Sanjay School, Porvorim.
"The major problem of these disabled youth is their rehabilitation. Every special child possesses some hidden skill or talent which should be unearthed by the parents and teachers and train them to develop that skill."
"This is of paramount importance to enable that child to stand on his or her own feet when grow older and lead a good life like normal children. The society should be sensitive to the needs of these children and endeavour to bring them in main stream," said Sawant.
Commissioner for Disability Anuradha Joshi said the differently abled children have got different needs and they face a lot of difficulties in life.
Sanjay Centre for Special Education chairman Guruprasad Pawaskar and member secretary Taha Haziq also spoke on the occasion.
