Ex-Nuvem MLA’s son assaulted, FIR registered against five

The Colva police have registered a case of assault and rioting against five persons including one Akash Rajadaksh in connection with the assault on Antonio George, son of former MLA Aleixo Sequeira at Benaulim.

Colva police informed that an FIR has been registered against Akash and four others for allegedly assaulting Antonio at Sudden Death restaurant at Benaulim.

The incident is believed to have occurred in the wee hours of Sunday between 2.30 am to 5.30 am, the

police said.

Based on a complaint lodged by Aleixo Sequeira, the Colva police have registered the FIR against Akash Rajadaksh and four others for forming an unlawful assembly and assaulting Antonio with fist blows on his face and for allegedly issuing threats to kill him.

The Colva police are investigating.
