A huge gathering to mark the Shiv Jayanti celebrations in Bicholim.

Stating that the country is experiencing Ramrajya, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said everyone should imbibe Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's thoughts and work towards realising the dream of a united India.
He was addressing a huge gathering to mark the Shiv Jayanti celebrations in Bicholim, a town which had witnessed the presence of Chhatrapati Shivaj Maharaj during his reign.
Others present on the occasion included Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanawade, Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Mayem MLA Premendra Shet, former speaker Rajesh Patnekar, BMC Chairperson Kundan Falari, councillors and others.
Sawant said Chhatrapati Shivaji had united all communities and had established a Hindu Swaraj.
The chief minister said the State government had organised many activities to realise the dream of Shivaji Maharaj.
“Shivaji Maharaj's dream was to make Surajya Shivrajya and with the same vision, Prime Minister Modi is continuing his great work in all fields and is working to bring about prosperity in every home,” said Sawant.
Tanavade and the MLAs Dr Chandrakant Shetye and Premendra Shet also spoke on the occasion.
