from July.
The programme will begin at 3 pm with the Divine Mercy Rosary, followed by an hour of Blessed Sacrament Adoration with prayers for inner healing at 3.30 pm. Confessions will be held at 4.30 pm, and Holy Mass will be celebrated at 5 pm.
Explaining the decision, parish priest Fr Derick Fernandes said the church is privileged to house a relic of St Francis Xavier. Earlier, the relic was displayed during the novenas and remained accessible until the feast day on December 3, drawing devotees from various communities in devotion to “Goencho Saib”.
After prayerful reflection, Fr Fernandes said it was decided to expose the relic on the 3rd of every month. He added that this would give the faithful a regular opportunity to pray and experience God’s love through the intercession of St Francis Xavier.
