Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday appealed to the people to elect the BJP for a stable government and to elect Laxmikant Parsekar with a huge margin.
He was speaking at a public meeting at Mandrem to campaign for Mandrem's BJP candidate and Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.
Speaking further, Fadnavis said the opposition is criticizing Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for addressing corner meetings in the State.
“After Parrikar took over as defence minister, Parsekar was elected as chief minister. The opposition thought that with Parsekar becoming the chief minister, progress of Goa would slow down, but Parsekar gave a boost to Goa's development during his tenure,” said Fadnavis.
Stating that no state in the country has implemented schemes like Goa, Fadnavis said the IT projects would create employment opportunities and skill training for the unemployed youth.
Chief Minister Parsekar and others also spoke at the meeting.
Former Maharashtra MLA Rajan Teli, Arambol ZP member Arun Bankar, BJP Mandal president, Ramesh Shet Mandrekar, Mahila Morcha president Vilasini Naik, sarpanchas and panchas from panchayats in Mandrem constituency were present at the meeting.
