The newly constructed college in the precincts of the Multipurpose school at Borda was inaugurated by former Chief Minister
Laxmikant Parsekar in the year 2016.
Sources attributed the collapse of a portion of the false ceiling of a room in the college to leakage, soon after the onset of monsoons just a day back on Thursday.
They informed that tin sheets had been erected recently to prevent any leakage and thereby avert any such unpleasant incident.
Despite such measures, the inevitable incident occurred on Thursday night where the false ceiling caved in, in the initial showers of the monsoons, sources added.
