The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) on Friday collected samples of some products of Goa Dairy.
Asked if the FDA had raided Goa Dairy, Managing Director Dr Navasu Sawant told The Goan it was a routine exercise by FDA and ruled out any raid in the premises.
“It was just a routine exercise of taking samples of our products and it was not raid. They have just collected the samples and nothing else,” Dr Sawant said.
One farmer had contacted The Goan claiming he had complained to FDA and subsequently, its officials had visited Goa Dairy.
“FDA officials seized milk powder and other products from Goa Dairy,” the farmer said on condition of anonymity.
Disputing the farmer’s claim, Dr Sawant said only samples of Goa Dairy products were picked up by the FDA team.
