Property worth Rs 90,000 saved, no injuries reported

A fire broke out at Narayan Nagar, Honda, on Saturday night, causing damage of about Rs 40,000. The Valpoi Fire Department rushed to the spot with two fire tenders and doused the flames. Property worth around Rs 90,000 was saved. No one was injured.
Officials said the fire started in a heap of dry wood near a mobile tower. The fire was brought under control quickly, preventing it from spreading to nearby areas. The exact cause of the fire is still being investigated.
The fire department has appealed to residents to be careful, especially during the dry season. People have been asked not to dump dry waste or flammable material in open areas and to report any fire risk immediately.
