MARGAO
The Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) will confer the Dalgado Puroskar 2025 awards on individuals who have made significant contributions to Konkani literature in the Roman script and to the cultural heritage of Goa.
The award ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 4 pm at the Ravindra Bhavan Conference Hall in Margao.
BJP Goa president Damu Naik will be the chief guest, while Joaquim Loiola Pereira, a Romi Konkani writer and secretary to the Archbishop of Goa and Daman, will attend as guest of honour. The function will be presided over by DKA president Celso Fernandes.
This year, DKA has introduced a new lifetime achievement honour titled the Dalgado Jivon Gourov Puroskar, which will recognise those who have made outstanding contributions to Romi Konkani across literature, culture and service. The first recipient of this award is Tomazinho Cardozo.

DKA has congratulated all the awardees and invited its members, Konkani lovers and the general public to attend the ceremony.
