Amid heavy wind and high waves, fishermen have been warned not to venture into the deep sea on Sunday.
The Indian Meteorological department has issued wind and high wave warnings for fishermen over the West Central Arabia Sea, North Arabian Sea and Gujarat coast.
"Strong winds with speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph likely to prevail over North and West Central Arabian Sea,” states the warning.
High waves in the range of 3 to 3.5 meters are forecasted along the coast, adds the warning.
As forecasted earlier, given the presence of westerly components of winds and moisture incursion in the lower levels of the atmosphere over Goa, light rain is very likely at isolated places over North and South Goa on Sunday.
After 24 hours, the minimum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3°C in the subsequent three days.
