Former Advocate General, Government of Goa and prominent High Court lawyer Adv Carlos Alvares Ferreira has been appointed as
the Chairman of the Legal
Department of the State of Goa by the National Chairman of Legal, Human Rights and RTI Department AICC, New Delhi Advocate Vivek Tankha, MP.
Adv. Ferreira also served as Assistant Solicitor General of India, as legal advisor to various governors in Goa, Senior Central Government Standing Counsel.
AICC desk in charge of Goa Dr Chellakumar while congratulating Advocate Ferreira said his appointment will give a boost to the legal department, as the legal department plays a significant role in organization while dealing with complex administrative issues and issues of public interest.
GPCC President Girish Chodankar expressed happiness over Advocate Ferreira’s appointment and said that his appointment will help the party in a big way in its
fight against the illegalities of the BJP-led government in Goa.
Leader of Opposition Babu Kavlekar while congratulating Advocate Ferreira said it will boost the morale of partymen who are fighting against the dictatorial government which is out to file false and manipulated cases against its opponents.
