Goa Trinamool Congress on Friday expanded its footprint with the induction of former Chairperson of Margao Municipal Council, Johnson Fernandez and former State Vice President of Shiv Sena and former Chairperson of Mapusa Municipal Council, Michael Carrasco along with their supporters into the party.
In a press note, TMC stated that Fernandez and 100 others joined Goa TMC in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP and AITC Goa Co-incharge Sushmita Dev and Goa TMC leader Mahesh Amonkar in Margao. While Carrasco’s induction took place in the presence of AITC leader Kirti Azad, AITC National spokesperson Saket Gokhale and Goa TMC leader Mario Pinto at the party office in Panaji.
Prominent grassroots leaders who joined along with Carrasco are Vijay Kandolkar, Devendra Govekar, Pravin Madkiker, Santhosh Mandrekar and Pravin Naik, stated the press note.
