Former St Cruz ZP member Savanna Araujo has announced that she will contest the upcoming Assembly election as an independent candidate from St Cruz constituency.
Speaking to The Goan, Araujo informed that she has done a lot of work during her stint as ZP member, which she said would help her in garnering votes from St Cruz constituency.
When questioned whether she enjoys support in St Cruz, Araujo said it is because of the support that she enjoys in the constituency that she has decided to enter the fray.
It may be recalled that Araujo had unsuccessfully contested the recent ZP elections on a BJP ticket which was won by Cong's Shiney Oliveira.
