Four held for making fake Aadhaar, PAN cards

Four persons from different parts of North Goa were arrested by Mapusa police on charges of preparing fake Aadhaar cards and PAN cards.

On February 12, Mukund Sakharam Raut of Sal-Bicholim lodged a complaint against unknown person for preparing his fake PAN card and Aadhaar card and using the fake cards at TJSB Bank in Mapusa to carry out monitory transactions.

Teams of staff of Mapusa police station were constituted to nab the culprits and four persons were identified and intercepted.

The accused have been identified as Razak Belwadi (26) of Porvorim, Gautam Korgaonkar (38) of Anjuna, Devanand Kavlekar (43) of Pilerne and Rahul Padloskar (38) of Panaji.

The accused were arrested under Sections 419, 464, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471, 477, 420 R/w 34 IPC. Fake PAN cards and Aadhaar cards were seized from the accused.

Further, investigation is in progress under supervision of PI Sitakant Nayak, DySP Sandesh Chodankar and SP North Akshat Kaushal.
