OLD GOA
St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar raised the issue of Bhoma road widening with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari during his meeting on Saturday.
Speaking to The Goan, Borkar informed that he brought it to the notice of Gadkari about the need to take the Bhoma locals into confidence before going ahead with the project. “I also informed the union minister that authorities should take into consideration the feasibility of the project, whether going through the village will benefit or a bypass,” Borkar informed.
When questioned whether Gadkari said anything about the issue, Borkar said it was only the chief minister who was replying. “The CM informed that he has invited the Bhoma locals for talks on the issue. However, when I spoke to the locals they informed that they have not got any invite from the CM,” Borkar stated, a fact confirmed by Bhoma leader Sanjay Naik.
