Gaude elected Vaghurme sarpanch

PONDA: Minu Gaude the panch of Ward 1, has been elected unopposed as sarpanch of Verem-Vaghurme Panchayat.

Gaude had moved a no-confidence motion against former sarpanch Vinay Naik along with three others on January 11, and Naik was ousted on January 20.

Gaude along with Swati Palkar, Satyavan Palkar and Vaishali Naik had alleged that Vinay Naik had not taking them in confidence over developmental works.

Speaking to The Goan, Gaude said that all panchas supported him. He said he was optimistic of completing pending works of development with support of the panchas.
