Gawlan singing contest held
BICHOLIM: Devrai Karbotkar, Divakar Kajari and Hrishikesh Chari won the first three prizes in gents group, while Sudarshana Mardolkar, Pradnya Rawal and Natasha Kuttikar won the first three prizes in women group in the all Goa Gawlan singing contest organised by Gopal Krishna Balmelawa Khairadwada Chorao at Chorao.
The consolation prizes in the gents category were awarded to Samir Vaigankar, Babaji Nagvekar and Chandrakant Kolkankar, while in the women category, they were won by Supriya Uskaikar, Pragati Rawal and Rashmi Dalvi.
The first three prizes in sub junior category were won by Vrushal Chari, Shruti Naik and Shreya Candolkar, while Vaibhav Gaonkar, Vishakha Gaonkar and Tapasvi Gaonkar were awarded consolation prizes.
Speaker Anant Shet was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Mayem ZP member Shankar Chodankar, Shamba Chodankar, Vasudev Kalagutkar, Divya Usapkar, Vasudev Dhuri and Vishal Achayra were present on the occasion.
Nilesh Fondekar compered the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks.
