Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority has issued show-cause notices to 11 tourism establishments and the land owner of Dugal Projects Development Company Pvt Ltd, along the southern beach stretch at Agonda.  According to sources, the show-cause notices issued in the name of establishments of their respective tourism operators were served through the Agonda Talathi on Thursday. Sources informed that a vast property had been purchased by Dugal Projects Development Company Pvt Ltd in the early 1980’s, but the proposed hotel project, which included plans for a helipad and mini-port, was abandoned midway in the mid-eighties. Acting on a complaint filed by Goa Paryavaran Savrakshan Sangharsh Samiti, the GCZMA asked violators to attend hearings with proper documentation of the alleged illegal structures which violate CRZ regulations.CASE FILE
