CANACONA
After serving a show-cause notice cum stop-work order over two years ago, the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) will conduct a site inspection of illegal filling of low-lying khazan land at Galgibaga-Canacona.
Serving a notice of a site inspection in Poinguinim, the GCZMA stated that a show-cause notice cum stop-work order was issued to the violator on March 14, 2022 following a complaint from a resident of Galgibaga.
The matter was heard at the 412th GCZMA meeting, where it was decided to conduct a fresh site inspection.
The site inspection has been fixed on October 18 and the inspection notice signed by GCZMA Member Secretary Johnson Fernandes has directed the presence of the complainant and the alleged violator at the site inspection.
Three members of GCZMA, including an expert member and field surveyor, will assist and conduct the site inspection of the fillings of low lying khazan lands along the river banks at Galgibaga.
