SANGUEM
Goa Forward Party (GFP) president and MLA Vijai Sardesai has launched a public outreach programme across the Sanguem constituency under the slogan ‘Zuim Gaonv Thain Hanv’.
The programme began at Zambaulim, where Sardesai sought the blessings of Lord Damodar before meeting residents across the constituency.
During his visit to Adem-Rivona, villagers raised concerns over the poor condition of a bridge constructed during former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s tenure. Sardesai assured them that he would take up the issue with senior government officials.
Residents of Addem also called for an alliance among opposition parties. Sardesai said people supported an alliance but were concerned about elected representatives switching parties after its formation.
The outreach also covered Rivona market, Colomb, Kuinamol, Mushkavrem, Vadem-Kurdi and Netravali. Residents highlighted the importance of the Sanjivani Sugar Factory and Netravali’s tourism potential.
In Bhati, farmers complained of crop damage caused by wild animals and raised concerns over accidents involving gaurs.
Several GFP leaders and workers participated in the programme.
