Additional Collector III (North Goa) Pundalik Khorjuvekar on Friday ordered the closure of the giant wheel erected at the Dev Bodgeshwar Jatrotsav venue in Mapusa after the owner failed to secure a safety permit from the fire department.
The fire department had sent a letter to the additional collector in this connection, prompting Khorjuvekar to direct the Bardez Sub-District Magistrate to take the necessary action regarding the closure of the giant wheel’s operations.
Acting on the directives, the SDM’s office issued an order to the mamlatdar and the Mapusa police in this matter.
