Parrikar was replying to a question tabled by Margao MLA, Digambar Kamat, during the ongoing session of the state assembly. Tuem Industrial Estate had the highest number of plots allotted, at 48, across all industrial estates in Goa. At 35 plots, Pissurlem Industrial Estate saw the second highest number of plots allotted, which was followed by 33 plots allotted each in Kundaim Industrial Estate and Panchwadi Industrial Estate. Verna Industrial Estate (18 plots), Shiroda Industrial Estate and Kakoda Industrial Estate (11 plots each).
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that it was taking long for the government to get to the bottom of the issues afflicting the Goa State Cooperative Bank because hitherto it was a multi state cooperative bank in which the state registrar of cooperative societies had limited role.

Panaji: "We have been trying to sort out this issue, but our hands were tied as it is a multi state cooperative bank," Parrikar said. He was cornered in the assembly, by Curtorim legislator Aleixo Lourenço who questioned why after more than five years nothing much has changed despite repeated assurance by Parrikar on the issue. "There are so many issues, I only want that you do something about it," Lourenço said.
