Additionally, Rs 1,303 (radiological services) and Rs 1,251 (8 patients) has been earned through laboratory diagnostic services.
As per statistics from 8 am to 4 pm provided by GMC, 24 outstation patients were admitted for surgical procedures in various departments, through which the expected revenue to be earned is Rs 2.5 lakh. Nonetheless, there were 168 new admissions and the revenue earned through this registration is Rs 16,800.
The GMC, however, has exempted 55 medico-legal cases of the fees in addition to two poor patients who have been granted exemption.

Of the 168 new admissions, 113 patients are Goans while 55 are outstation patients. Interestingly, of the 55 outstation patients, 16 were from Karnataka while 11 from Maharashtra. As far as OPDs are concerned, GMC in all received 886 patients, of which 690 patients were Goans.
With regard to patients who visited GMC for follow-ups today, 47 patients were from Maharashtra, followed by 45 from Karnataka, 36 from Uttar Pradesh and 18 from Bihar.
Speaking to media persons, GMC Medical Superintendent Dr Shivanand Bandekar said, "Considering that 24 outstation patients have been admitted to GMC for various surgical procedures, we expect revenue of Rs 2.5 lakh which they will have to pay at the time of discharge.
Today being the first day of the new year, patients were comparatively less as people thought it was a public holiday."
