MARGAO
Goa Forward Party has condemned the outbursts by chairman of Institute Menezes Braganza, Sanjay Harmalkar for his uncultured threat of beating up JNUSU president, Kanhaiya Kumar.
In a statement, president of GFP, Prabhakar Timbe has said that as the viceÂ-president of Goa
BJP, it may be a virtue for Harmalkar to dump students and youth as antiÂ-national.
“Sanjay Harmalkar has brought shame to Goa and discredit to the "Sant Sahitya" under whose dais he made these sick comments even drawing Pandit Nehru under the antiÂ-national tag. This is
indecent and unbecoming of a man claiming to be an artist and literary figure. Harmalkar has
sullied the IMB and shown his lack of credibility to be in the post,” Timble said.
He said the Goa Forward objects to such outbursts and added “but knowing the BJP cannot
expect anything better, we can only pray for Harmalkar to get well soon in the interests of IMB and
Marathi Academy”.
