The Goa Forward Party (GFP) on Sunday reaffirmed its support to the people’s movement “Goa Against Gundaraj” and stressed that justice for Rama Kankonkar means justice for all of Goa.
Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai said the attack on Rama Kankonkar was not just against one person, but against every Goan who believes in truth, justice and democracy. He said it was a reminder of how politics in Goa has been criminalised, posing a threat to society.
“With new evidence now coming to light, it is clear that the investigation has been handled with serious negligence. Shockingly, this key aspect has not been looked into by the Goa Police. Such lapses only add to the public’s belief that the probe is just an eyewash,” Sardesai said.
The party has urged every Goan to stay united in this fight. “Together, let us send a clear message: Enough is enough “ No more gundaraj in Goa,” he said.
