Goa Forward Working President Kiran Kandolkar said his party would give priority to offer free education and healthcare facilities, while it would not dole out free water or free electricity.
Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, Kandolkar said the Goa Forward Party would offer good and free education till the higher level.
“Will give all health facilities to Goans free of cost. We will also provide good law and order situation in Goa so that women will be safe in the State,” added Kandolkar.
Meanwhile, the Goa Forward party announced its new committee under the leadership of president Vijay Sardesai.
“The Goa Forward will start work in 12 constituencies in the initial phase. All like-minded parties should come together to defeat the BJP in the upcoming elections and for this Goa Forward and Congress should have an alliance,” Kandolkar said.
“Some ambitious small-time Congress leaders are opposing an alliance with Goa Forward as they fear that they would to compromise their seats to Goa Forward leaders. Somewhere, we will have to compromise to achieve a bigger goal of defeating the BJP,” said Kandolkar.
Meanwhile, Kandolkar sought to clarify on allegations that his party worker was involved in an illegal construction at the Old Goa heritage zone.
“The party worker has already sold this land and he is no more involved in the construction. In fact, Goa Forward supremo Vijay Sardesai was the one who had written to UNESCO to notify Old Goa as a world heritage site,” Kandolkar said.
