Goa Corona app, the official mobile application of the State government has been launched with the aim of providing a comprehensive list of Covid management resources.
The app provides real-time information about the bed status, vaccination centres, testing centres and other related information pertaining to Covid services in Goa along with the contact information and location of these facilities.
Meanwhile, worried over the State being laggard in its vaccination efforts, the Goa government is gearing up to re-launch the "Tika Utsav" campaign across the State from Wednesday.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, despite efforts, the State had achieved just about 60 per cent coverage among the above 45 age group.
He said the government intends to cover 100 per cent or thereabouts of this older population, to help make the State Covid-19 safe.
Sawant said from Wednesday vaccination drives will be held across the State and centres will be set up in every panchayat. In urban local bodies, up to two vaccination centres are planned to be set up.
The Chief Minister's Office will directly supervise the drive including area specific scheduling.
