Governor, Dr Mridula Sinha has extended her best wishes to the people of Goa on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navmi.
In her message the Governor has said that I extend my hearty wishes to the people of Goa. “Ram Navmi marks the arrival of Lord Vishnu’s seventh avatar, Lord Rama. He exemplified the perfect person or ‘Purshottam’. He is a great example of how one should live his life in accordance with dharma and divine principles,” Sinha said
“Lord Rama had immense respect for all the women in his life and hence was also called as ‘Maryada Purushottam’. Through careful examination of his life, we learn how to be the perfect son, the perfect brother, the perfect husband and the perfect king. His reign in Ayodhya is referred to as Ramarajya, the epitome of perfect,” the Governor added.
“On the pious occasion of Ram Navmi, let us follow and try to imbibe the simple teachings of Lord Rama, of fulfilling your duty without any selfish motives, putting other people before yourself and take a pledge to let truth, purity, honestly, humility and righteousness be the guiding factors in our lives. May the celebrations of Ram Navmi this year herald a new era of enriched peace, prosperity and unity among people,” the Governor concluded.
