Goa Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) was inaugurated on Friday at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event, organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation, is based on the theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”. Director of Information and Publicity Dipak Bandekar opened the pavilion and also released a brochure titled Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa.

The IITF is India’s largest integrated trade fair, bringing together business visitors, government bodies, NGOs, and media organisations. It provides a platform for government departments to share their schemes and development work with the public.

The Goa Pavilion, set up on 200 sq m in Hall No. 3, showcases Goan culture, cuisine, and achievements through audio-visuals, hoardings, and photo displays. Traditional Goan products and handicrafts made by local artisans are available at the stalls. Visitors can also taste Goan sweets such as dodol and bebinca.

A kokum-based drink called koku was launched at the pavilion. Created under the GoVan State Umbrella Brand with support from the Goa State Biodiversity Board and Team 24, it is promoted as a natural coolant and antioxidant.

Departments taking part include Tourism, GTDC, Handicrafts, Textile and Coir, the Goa Investment Promotion Board, and the State Biodiversity Board. Daily performances by Goan folk artists aim to promote the State’s cultural heritage and position Goa as a major tourism and investment destination.
