KLE Society marks 110 years of educational excellence

The Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society celebrated its 110th Foundation Day at Dr B S Jirge Auditorium, J N Medical College Campus, Belagavi. Chief guest Dr M R Jayaram, Vice-Chancellor of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, paid tribute to the founders and teachers whose dedication built KLE’s legacy. He said the seven founding seers worked tirelessly to meet society’s educational needs and that their sacrifices continue to inspire. He also praised the long-standing leadership of KLE Chairman Dr Prabhakar Kore.

Dr Jayaram urged students to take responsibility for shaping the nation’s future by pursuing knowledge, working with the government, and upholding strong values. He suggested that KLE consider starting a STEM University to support national development in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Swami Bodhamayananda Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, stressed the need for holistic education and moral values, saying that knowledge must retain its spirit and purpose. He urged the youth to resist negative influences and follow Swami Vivekananda’s ideals.

In his welcome address, Dr Kore saluted the founding seers and announced major developments, including a new 1000-bed hospital and medical college in Hubballi. The event, presided over by KLE President Mahantesh Koujalgi, also honoured outstanding students, teachers, and healthcare professionals with 66 gold and 49 silver medals.
