Both Goa’s Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar as well the party’s state president Vinay Tendulkar, besides Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar were in attendance at the party’s national executive.
While, the Uttar Pradesh is undoubtedly top on the BJP’s mind, the party president Amit Shah is believed to have discussed poll strategies in all states including Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab besides Uttar Pradesh.
Reports emerging from the National Executive indicate that the party is planning to capitalise on its development as well as the fact that the party has close ties with the BJP government at the centre in the form of Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
However, the party does face an anti-incumbency factor, which is on the party’s mind but believes that the opposition will not be able to capitalise on it.
